Mugs

A 400 ml mug with a handle, for water, tea and coffee. Solid copper.

The copper mug holds 400 millilitres and has a handle, so you can pick it up with hot tea in it too. There is felt under the base: it protects a wooden table and takes the noise out of setting it down.

The first composition measurement dates from 16 June 2021. To keep our material checks up to date, we had another water bottle analysed. On 21 October 2026, URS Products and Testing in Noida reported 99.18% copper and 0.498% zinc.

Both independent measurements found more than 99% copper. The difference between the measured copper contents is 0.03 percentage points. The 2026 retest therefore supports the earlier finding of a high copper content in our material.

Copper conducts heat better than almost any other metal. Cold water feels cold in your hand almost immediately, and that is exactly what makes a copper mug different from an earthenware one. How copper compares with plastic and stainless steel is in the material comparison.

Solid copper at 99.21% (RTC 2021) purity, independently tested for food safety, with no coating and no inner lining. Available smooth or hand-hammered. Black coffee and tea work perfectly well; lemon tea, very acidic fruit teas and soft drinks go into a different cup, because they are acidic enough to dissolve copper faster. Everything that can go in it is in coffee and tea from a copper mug. The rest of the care routine is in cleaning and polishing.
