Test dossier
Together, the reports provide insight into our copper composition and the results of the food-contact testing. We include the measured values, methods and report numbers so you can see what our material information is based on.
Tested to the European rules for food contact materials: EC 1935/2004, EU 10/2011 and REACH.

1. Composition: first analysis and retest
The first composition measurement dates from 16 June 2021. To keep our material checks up to date, we had another water bottle analysed. On 21 October 2026, URS Products and Testing in Noida reported 99.18% copper and 0.498% zinc.
| Laboratory | Date | Copper | Zinc |
|---|---|---|---|
| RTC Laboratory | 16 June 2021 | 99.21% | 0.75% |
| URS Products and Testing | 21 October 2026 | 99.18% | 0.498% |
Both independent measurements found more than 99% copper. The difference between the measured copper contents is 0.03 percentage points. The 2026 retest therefore supports the earlier finding of a high copper content in our material.

2. Food safety
| Laboratory | URS Products and Testing, Noida (India) |
|---|---|
| Samples | A copper water bottle, a copper mug and a copper pyramid |
| Framework | EC 1935/2004 and REACH, using the heavy metal limits from EU 10/2011 as the benchmark |
| Conditions | Distilled water, two hours at 40 degrees, repeated three times |
| Examined | Overall migration, smell and taste (sensory, LFGB), nineteen heavy metals in the water, and lead and cadmium in the material itself |
| Result | Every part passed. Of the nineteen heavy metals, none was detectable in the water that had been standing in the product; the results are recorded as "Not Detected". The detection limit is stated in the report itself. |
What these results say
Two composition measurements: RTC measured 99.21% copper and 0.75% zinc in 2021; URS measured 99.18% copper and 0.498% zinc in October 2026.
The testing was done on samples from our own production: a material sample for the composition, and a water bottle, a mug and a pyramid for food contact. They are made of the same copper as the rest of the range, in the same workshop. Exactly how it was measured is set out above for each test, and below you can see how to have the reports checked.
The reports themselves
The laboratories do not allow their reports to be reproduced or published, so the originals are not shown here. Instead we have made a dossier with the composition, all results, the methods and standards, and the report numbers and dates of both laboratories. That makes every number on this page checkable.

If you want a report confirmed, contact the laboratory and quote the report number and date. If you would like to see the originals, email info@kopero.nl; we will check what the laboratories allow.
