Water Bottles
A 900 ml water bottle for home and on the go. Handmade from pure copper.
A copper water bottle is meant to stand still. You fill it in the evening, let the water rest overnight and drink it through the day. That habit is called tamra jal and comes from Ayurveda; where the tradition comes from and what the source text actually says is set out in tamra jal.
The first composition measurement dates from 16 June 2021. To keep our material checks up to date, we had another water bottle analysed. On 21 October 2026, URS Products and Testing in Noida reported 99.18% copper and 0.498% zinc.
Both independent measurements found more than 99% copper. The difference between the measured copper contents is 0.03 percentage points. The 2026 retest therefore supports the earlier finding of a high copper content in our material.
Our bottle holds 900 millilitres and is made of solid copper, independently measured at 99.21% (RTC 2021) purity and tested against the European food safety standards. No coating and no inner lining. Whether nine hundred millilitres is the size that suits your day is covered in what size copper bottle. You choose between smooth and hand-hammered; the copper is the same in both, and what that difference means day to day is in smooth or hammered.
Copper darkens over time. That is part of it, and it comes off again with lemon and salt (not too hard: salt is mildly abrasive and dissolves well in the lemon juice), as described in cleaning a copper bottle. How often this tradition has you drink from it is explained in how often per day.
